James Sedgewick Distillery

We celebrated world whisky day on Friday. World whisky day falls on the 3rd Saturday of May each year. This year I was lucky to be a part of this incredible evening celebrating at the James Sedgewick Distillery. We met at the Western Hotel Where a whole bus was waiting to take us on this amazing experience.

After our long drive to Wellington we were welcomed with with yummy signature cocktails Bains whisky "Leopard and Lime" and Three Ships Whisky "The Royal Buxton" Really delicious.

Some Whisky Magic

We then had a little tour around the distillery learning about how whisky is made. You can tell how passionate about what they do and really informative.

We then made our way to these beautifully set tables ready to be served with our four coarse meal and South Africa's best whiskey. A very thoughtful menu put together by the slippery spoon and team. Uniquely presented delicious meals.

If I could describe this experience, It would be like tasting a work of art.
