Cape Towns inner city rooftop jungle has to be one of my favorite spots to hang out right now.
This charming little spot situated on the 6th floor of the Gorgeous George Hotel is the perfect spot to unwind with friends and get away from the day to day city hustle and bustle. The chic interior is simply gorgeous! These draping vines and hanging plants really makes you feel like you've stepped into the jungle. The massive glass windows leaves room for lots of natural lighting and give you a panoramic view of the city.
I absolutely love everything about this place, from the warm welcome at the entrance all the way up to the rooftop. I like to look out for the small things when visiting new places, the things that light up your senses when you arrive. The smell, sound and look and feel .This place had me light up like a Christmas tree. Even the bathrooms are an experience, From the eccentric wall paper massive mirrors and scent defuses in the cubicle to the hand wash and creams. even the reserved table sign made me feel things. Its says "sorry gorgeous i'm taken" It really is the little things that make all the difference.
This place is such a vibe and was pretty packed when we arrived, but the hostess quickly found us a cute spot and seated us on a comfy couch. We did not make a booking we were in the area and thought we would have a drink or two after an event we attended but I always say make a booking so you are not disappointing.
We had some delicious biltong to go with our yummy wine of choice Warwick First Lady Chardonnay, What a treat! We also ordered the cheese board and that also paired really well with the wine. They also have a really rad cocktail menu for the more adventurous bunch looking to taste something different. Their In-house mixologist Jody Rahme's mixes up some divine cocktails with a fun twist and exotic flavors Like rabbit farts and all kinds of magical things. Definitely worth a visit, I can imagine what a vibe this place will be in summer.
